Performance-based pricing your clients can audit

Versabot attributes revenue only through a chain it can verify: a confirmed receipt, the conversion and lead behind it, and the agency's tracked click. Clients accept the fee terms, an independent auditor attests to each statement, and refunds produce new revisions instead of quiet edits.

The chain

Four links, each one checked

  1. 1

    Tracked click

A timestamped click on a link the agency created for that client and channel.

  2. 2

    Lead

The lead that click produced, recorded in the client's workspace.

  3. 3

    Conversion

The sale or booking tied to that lead.

  4. 4

    Verified receipt

A payment confirmed by the payment provider, or a settled bank credit matching one exact invoice.

The agreement defines the channel, link, attribution window and currency. Anything outside those terms is excluded and listed as an exclusion, so both sides can see what did not count and why.

Agreements and review

Separation of duties, built in

  • The agency proposes a percentage of verified net attributed receipts, with an optional cap.
  • A different person, on the client side, must accept the agreement.
  • An auditor attests to each statement; the agency cannot approve its own.
  • The client approves or disputes, and approval of stale evidence is rejected.
  • Evidence is hashed and historical statements are retained.

Worked example

Example fee statement with a refund
ItemAmountWhat happens
Verified receipt$100.00Attributed through the full chain
Agreed fee20%Accepted by the client, not the agency
Fee statement$20.00Audited, then approved or disputed by the client
Later refund−$25.00Fee recalculates to $15.00
Revision−$5.00A new statement revision; the original stays on record

Honest limits

What attribution here does not claim

  • No causal-lift or incrementality claim.
  • Unverified offsite or offline conversions are excluded, not estimated.
  • Ad spend and delivery costs are not connected or deducted.
  • Payment and bank connections run against test and sandbox environments.
  • Statements cannot become invoices, and no payouts are made.
  • Separate roles stop self-approval inside the app, but don't certify that two people are economically independent.

FAQ

Performance pricing questions

What is performance-based agency pricing?

It is a contract where part or all of the agency's fee depends on results the client can verify, usually a percentage of revenue the agency's work produced. It only works when both sides trust how that revenue is attributed, which is the problem this feature addresses.

Does Versabot prove that our campaign caused the sale?

No. It shows a deterministic, auditable chain from a verified receipt back to a tracked click under the agreed rules. That is attribution, not proof of causal lift, and the statement says so.

What about sales that happen offline or on another site?

They count only if they can be verified, for example a settled bank credit that matches one exact invoice amount and currency. Unverified offsite matches are excluded rather than estimated.

Can we collect performance fees through Versabot today?

Not yet. Agreements, audits and statements run end to end in test mode, and statements cannot become invoices. Live collection and payouts are not enabled.
