Use your agency workspace from any MCP client

Versabot exposes a standard Model Context Protocol endpoint, so other AI tools can read client work, ask the Versabot agent for help, start sandboxed browser runs and draft reports. Tokens are scoped, follow the creator's current permissions and can be revoked at any time.

Connect

Three steps to a working connection

  1. 1

    Create a token

In the workspace, open Workspace → MCP & agents and create a token with only the scopes you need.

  2. 2

    Configure your client

Point a Streamable HTTP MCP client at the endpoint and send the token as a bearer header.

  3. 3

    Revoke when done

Revoking a token takes effect immediately; further requests return 401.

reportsDraft client reports and publish them to the client portal.

Every call is also checked against the token creator's current role and client scope.

Boundaries

Powerful, but not unsupervised

  • Tokens are stored hashed and bound to one organization.
  • Lead tools redact contact details.
  • Interactive browser runs wait for approval in the app.
  • Agent work started over MCP uses the same credit holds and model settings as the app.
  • No credential entry or changes over MCP.
  • No approval of outgoing email or review requests over MCP.
  • No performance-fee approval over MCP.
  • Not every legacy assistant operation is exposed.

FAQ

MCP questions

Which MCP clients work with Versabot?

Any client that supports the standard Streamable HTTP transport and lets you send an Authorization bearer header. Versabot is tested with the official MCP Python SDK and negotiates protocol versions 2025-11-25, 2025-06-18 and 2025-03-26.

What can an MCP client not do?

It cannot enter or change credentials, approve outgoing messages, or approve performance fees. Those stay in the signed-in Versabot app. Interactive browser runs started over MCP wait for human approval, and proposed schedules need a person to approve them.

Does a token give access to every client?

No. A token belongs to one organization and acts with the creator's current role and client scope. If that person loses access, or the token is revoked, requests stop working.

How does the agent avoid huge tool lists?

Capabilities are discovered progressively: a small set of entry tools lets the client search for a capability and then invoke it with scope checks, so connecting more accounts doesn't inflate every prompt.

Connect your AI tools to real client work.

Connect what you already use, ask for the work in plain language, and approve what leaves the building.
