AI email outreach that sends nothing you haven't approved

Versabot's agent researches the recipient, drafts the message and queues it from your own mailbox. You approve the exact content, replies pause the sequence, and opt-outs are honored automatically. Automated replies are optional, narrow and off by default.

How it works

From research to a reply you can trust

  1. Step 1

    Connect your mailbox

Enter your address and an app password in a secure form. Versabot verifies SMTP and IMAP without sending anything and starts from new mail only. No history is imported.

  2. Step 2

    Research and draft

The agent builds a sourced profile of the company or person and drafts a message for that client's context.

  3. Step 3

    Approve the exact message

You approve the exact content. Any edit clears the approval, so what you saw is what goes out.

  4. Step 4

    Send and watch for replies

Approved messages send on schedule within your caps. A reply pauses follow-ups, and opt-outs are suppressed for good.

Reply handling

Five reply modes, starting at Off

Reply handling is set per connection. Automatic modes need an explicit, reviewed policy and the current permission to approve delivery.

Reply handling modes
ModeWhat happens
OffDefault for every new connection. No reply handling.
ManualReplies are correlated to the right conversation; a person writes every answer.
AI draftsThe agent drafts a reply that waits for exact-content approval.
Fixed acknowledgementOne pre-approved acknowledgement for allowed senders.
AI auto-replyOne automatic answer per conversation, only for 1–20 named senders, within a daily cap of up to 10, approved topics and facts, and a policy that expires within 30 days.

Safeguards

Built to avoid the expensive mistakes

  • Mailbox passwords are stored encrypted in the workspace vault and never pass through chat.
  • Approval, suppression, connection version and limits are checked again right before sending.
  • Ambiguous sends are marked uncertain and never resent automatically.
  • STOP, unsubscribe requests and out-of-office replies are recognized, including quoted history.
  • Mailbox sync is read-only. Versabot doesn't move, delete or mark your mail.
  • No domain warm-up or inbox-placement guarantee.
  • No attachments or mailbox history import.
  • OAuth-only mailboxes need a provider that supports app passwords.
  • SMS and WhatsApp outreach are not available.
  • Messages accepted by your mail server cannot be recalled.

FAQ

Email outreach questions

Which mailboxes can I connect?

Any mailbox that supports SMTP and IMAP with a password or app password, such as Gmail or Google Workspace with an app password. SMTP uses implicit TLS on port 465 or required STARTTLS on 587, and IMAP uses TLS on 993. Mailboxes that only allow OAuth sign-in are not supported by the direct form yet.

Is this a bulk cold-email tool?

No. Every message is approved before sending, new connections default to 25 sends per day and 5 per hour, and bulk campaigns are not enabled. Deliverability still depends on your domain, mailbox provider and list quality.

Can the AI reply to everyone who writes in?

No. Automatic replies only apply to conversations Versabot started, only for senders you name, and at most once per conversation. Opt-outs, out-of-office messages and a manual takeover all stop automated handling.

What about LinkedIn?

LinkedIn accounts connect through a hosted sign-in and are used for bounded profile research. LinkedIn messaging follows the same approval rules but is newer and less proven than email. Connection invitations, InMail and bulk campaigns are not enabled.

Connect one mailbox and draft your first approved send.

Connect what you already use, ask for the work in plain language, and approve what leaves the building.
